Amongst our collection of archives we have been lucky to be given the family trees of the Fancett family, the Day family and the Couchmans. POSSE“I am currently trying to find the parentage of a Mary Posse who is supposed to have married a Michael Smitherman in Marden in 1750, their son Michael Smitherman married a Sarah Posse in Marden in 1780, I presume his cousin on mothers side, but I cannot find any records of either Posse parents.I hope someone out there can help, Helen Miller nee Smytherman.” h928miller@btinternet.com.

TAYLOR – I am trying to find out more information about Albert William Taylor (b. 1871) and his family, who was the inn keeper at the Unicorn in 1911.  Albert was my partner’s great great grandfather.  If anyone has any information on the Taylors, please get in touch.
